In 1983, the late Donald Trimble's dream became a reality when he opened his very own funeral services institution. When death called him back in 2000, his niece, Chedonna Trimble-Holston was there to take up the reins as the President and CEO of Donald Trimble Mortuary, Inc. (DTM).

    "When I was a student at Gupton-Jones, I would go to work for the business back when my uncle first opened the funeral home, "said Trimble Holston.

    Housed on 2nd Avenue in Decatur, the home boasts an astounding 750 services performed each year, which include pre-need/pre-arrangement, chapel services, on staff Chaplin, and after care counseling.

    A pillar in the community, DTM's affiliations include Dekalb County Chamber of Commerce; GFSPA, where Chedonna Trimble-Holston is the co-chairperson for the 9th District; National Funeral Director and Morticians Association; National Funeral Directors Association; and 100 Black Women in Funeral Service.
